The rules for using Chit Chat and being part of our campus community

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Chit Chat mobile application and related services. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it whenever necessary.

• Keep your account secure and not share access with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

You agree not to use Chit Chat to:

• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other people
• Post spam, misleading content, or unauthorized advertisements
• Share illegal, obscene, or harmful material
• Attempt to bypass safety systems or disrupt the app

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these standards.

Chit Chat uses a combination of automated checks, user reports, and manual review to maintain a safe and respectful environment. We may remove, limit, or restrict content or accounts that contain harassment, threats, hate speech, impersonation, sexual content, spam, or other harmful behaviour.

If a report is received, we may temporarily restrict access while we review the situation. Repeated violations may lead to account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.

Some features may allow anonymous or pseudonymous interaction within designated spaces. These experiences are meant to encourage open conversations, but they are not a shield for abusive, illegal, or harmful conduct.

Even when anonymity is enabled, your account may still be subject to moderation, reporting, and account-level review. You must not use anonymous chat to harass others, spread misinformation, or bypass safety rules.

You retain ownership of the content you create and upload. By posting content, you grant Chit Chat a limited license to host, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the app and provide features such as posts, stories, and group interactions.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to share any content you upload and that it does not infringe on others’ rights.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on what information we collect, how it is used, and your choices.

We may review, moderate, or remove content that appears unsafe, abusive, or inconsistent with these Terms.

Chit Chat, its name, logo, design, and app experience are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reuse our branding or app code without written permission.

Chit Chat is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that the app will always be error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms. We may suspend or terminate access to the app if you violate these Terms or use the service improperly.
